An independent entertainment specialist is celebrating a historic double milestone this month.

Tim Daymond, the full-time professional sole trader behind the Sutton Bridge-based Mobile Disco Network, has been named a winner in the regional prestige awards, receiving a brand-new gold multi-award trophy.

The landmark accolade directly coincides with Tim’s 50th anniversary in the entertainment industry, having first established his career in 1976 under the name Timsha Disco, before evolving the business into the Tinsel and Satin Music Show from 1979 through the mid-1990s.

Following a “highly successful” era founding and operating R.G.W (Radio Gets Wild) – an “internationally award-winning” online community radio station that released compilation albums for indie artists worldwide – Tim returned to the road with his latest venture, Mobile Disco Network, in November 2013.

This latest win brings his lifelong career total to 22 separate regional and national business accolades.

“Receiving this gold multi-award trophy during my Golden Jubilee year is an incredibly proud milestone. It proves that an independent, full-time sole trader can deliver a highly reliable, legally verified service within local communities,” he said.

The prestige awards judging panel said they were “overwhelmingly impressed by Mobile Disco Network’s extraordinary track record”.
