1. About Our Services
Mobile Disco Network, established in 1976, provides professional entertainment services including:
- Wedding DJ Services – ceremony, reception, and evening entertainment
- Party DJ Services – birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, school proms
- Lighting Services – LED lighting rigs, uplighting, special effects
- Photo Booth Hire – ring light booths, vintage booths, interactive selfie pods
- Special Effects – confetti machines, snow machines, and other effects
- Event Planning – comprehensive entertainment packages and coordination
- Musical Bingo – interactive entertainment for all ages
- Creative Design Services – posters, promotional marketing materials, T-shirt and merchandise artwork designs
- Digital Publications – flipbooks, eBooks, and colouring books
2. Booking Terms
Booking Process:
- All bookings require completion of our online booking system
- Events are confirmed upon receipt of a signed contract and deposit
- Full event details must be provided at the time of booking
- Changes to bookings must be requested by email or in writing
- Amendments will result in the old contract being deleted and a new contract automatically created for re-signing
Availability:
- All bookings are subject to availability
- We recommend booking well in advance, especially for peak seasons
- Backup DJ arrangements are included in all bookings for reliability
3. Payment Terms
Deposit and Payment:
- 50% booking fee is required to secure the booking
- Monthly instalment options available
- Full payment due 14 days before the event date
- Payment in full is accepted at the time of booking
- We accept card payments, bank transfers, and online payments
- All prices include VAT where applicable
Additional Costs:
- Travel costs for venues outside our standard service areas
- Overtime charges for events extending beyond the agreed-upon finish time
- Additional equipment requests made after contract signing
- Replacement costs for damaged or lost equipment
4. Cancellation Policy
Client Cancellations:
- More than 12 weeks’ notice: 50% of the total booking fee retained
- 8-12 weeks’ notice: 80% of total booking fee retained
- Less than 8 weeks’ notice: 100% of total booking fee retained (no refund)
- Force majeure events are considered on an individual basis
Our Cancellation Rights:
- We reserve the right to cancel in cases of extreme weather, venue safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control
- We will always do our utmost to provide another DJ for your event
- Full refund provided if we cancel your booking and cannot arrange alternative cover
5. Service Delivery Standards
Our Commitments:
- Professional, DBS-checked, and insured staff
- PAT-certified equipment and full public liability insurance
- Punctual arrival and setup (1.5 to 2 hours before event start, depending on size of show and distance to setup area)
- Comprehensive music library spanning all decades and genres
- Professional sound system and state-of-the-art equipment
- Backup equipment and contingency planning
- Vetted and authenticated by Norfolk District Council and Trading Standards
Event Requirements:
- Suitable power supply (13amp sockets within 20 meters)
- Safe and secure setup area
- Vehicle access for equipment loading
- Event timeline and special requirements communicated in advance
6. Client Responsibilities
Venue and Access:
- Ensure venue permits our services and any required licenses
- Provide accurate venue details and contact information
- Arrange appropriate parking and equipment access
- Inform us of any venue restrictions or special requirements
- For all-day events or long hours, please advise whether food and drink refreshments will be available for our DJ
Event Details:
- Provide complete and accurate event information
- Communicate any changes promptly
- Respect our staff and equipment
- Ensure guest behaviour doesn’t damage equipment
- Accept full liability for any damage to our property, equipment, or instruments, however caused
- Indemnify Mobile Disco Network for any damage whatsoever, howsoever, and by whomsoever caused to any property belonging to, loaned to, or being purchased by Mobile Disco Network on any hire purchase, conditional sale or credit sale agreement
- Accept full liability under any duty imposed by the Occupiers’ Liability Act and rules of Equity Law
Harassment and Safety Policy: If at any point during the event a Mobile Disco Network attendant feels physically unsafe or is sexually harassed by an event guest or guests, preventing the attendant from safely completing the performance, the attendant may immediately end the services and leave. If a guest or guests are rude, the attendant will notify the Client or Client’s representative, and if the rude behaviour doesn’t stop, the attendant will end the services and leave. Mobile Disco Network will provide any products described in the contract using footage or images obtained before the incident, and Client will receive no refund or partial refund, at Mobile Disco Network’s sole discretion.
7. Intellectual Property and Content
Music Licensing:
- Requested tracks are played throughout the night
- When WiFi is accessible, guests can submit requests via QR code directly to the DJ’s touch screen
- We cannot guarantee the availability of all requested tracks
Photography and Marketing:
- We may photograph/film events for promotional purposes
- Client consent will be sought for any marketing usage
- Clients may request not to be included in promotional materials
8. Liability and Insurance
Our Liability:
- Public liability insurance up to £10 million
- PAT certification for all electrical equipment
- Liability limited to the total value of services contracted
Limitations:
- Not responsible for venue-related issues or restrictions
- Weather-related cancellations for outdoor events are handled on a case-by-case basis
- Not liable for third-party services or suppliers
9. Data Protection and Privacy
Information Usage:
- Event details used solely for service delivery
- Marketing communications sent only with consent
- Data shared with service partners only when necessary
- Full privacy policy available above
10. Quality Assurance
Service Standards:
- Professional presentation and conduct at all times
- Regular equipment maintenance and updates
- Continuous staff training and development
- Customer feedback actively sought and implemented
11. Dispute Resolution
Norfolk Trusted Trader Complaints Procedure:
If a consumer is unhappy with any work carried out by a member of the Scheme, the member must agree to comply with the dispute resolution procedure detailed below. However, if the member has membership of another Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service through a Trade Association or other body, complaints may be referred to that service for independent adjudication, and the Norfolk Trusted Trader Dispute Resolution Process will not be invoked.
Norfolk Trusted Trader is using the facilities of Kent County Council Trading Standards (the “ADR entity”) to handle any disputes between Trusted Trader members and consumers that cannot be resolved at an early stage. Members are subject to the procedure and requirements of ADR, which can be found at www.kent.gov.uk/disputeresolution.
Our Complaint Process:
- Initial concerns were addressed directly with our team
- Formal complaints are handled within 14 working days
- Norfolk Trusted Trader dispute resolution procedure available
- Independent mediation available if required
- UK law governs all agreements
12. Additional Services and Packages

13. Terms Modifications
We reserve the right to update these terms. Changes will be communicated via our website and direct notification for existing bookings. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
